As you probably know Relay For Life is a yearly celebration of life that raises money and public awareness in the fight against cancer. What you may not know is the impact Relay is having here in Anson County. Each year we are fortunate to raise research dollars through Relay, but even more importantly raise the spirit of hope and determination among those whose lives are affected by this vicious enemy.

Relay For Life is a truly unique fund raising event. During the Relay a community party atmosphere is created through team members camping out, enjoying entertainment, food, games, and camaraderie. Highlights of the event are the Survivors’ Walk, one lap around the track by survivors who are winning the fight, and the Luminaria Ceremony to remember those who lost their battle with cancer, to honor cancer survivors or to pay tribute to someone who has been of special inspiration. Many corporations describe the team building relationship that occurs during Relay For Life as similar to that of a retreat.  The Relay For Life is an ideal opportunity for your business to enhance its image by supporting its employees who are taking up the fight against cancer.
